Those Little Beads

~ What are Those Little Beads? ~

Those Little Beads are very special little paper beads which serve as a reminder that we are all connected and that every single one of us has something of value to share and that what, when, who, where amd how we share as well as who we share it with really does matter.

The evolution of Those little beads has gone through many stages from the sharing of a single bead, a bag of beads, to the creation of the ultimate gift of Those Little Beads necklaces.

These days, the gift of Those Little Beads come in the form of your choice of:

~ A Base Bead ~
Base Beads are very special little beads heartcrafted from recycled paper. Due to the nature of the one of a kind heartcrafting process, they come in all sorts of shapes, sizes and colors and therefore are guaranteed to be completely unique not only from any other bead but from eachother. Each Base Bead is also coated with a special UV protectant coating which helps keep the bead from fading like other paper beads.

You can acquire a Base Bead (or Beads) and make your own necklace (Base Beads will fit on any string, chord or chain .5mm or smaller) or you can have a necklace made for you with a Base Bead (or Beads)*.

~A Puzzle Piece Bead ~
Puzzle Piece Beads are one of a kind beads heartcrafted from recycled paper, recycled puzzle pieces and other recycled decor. They are a little fancier and take a bit more time and materials to create than Base Beads which should be considered when acquiring them. Just like the Base Beads, Puzzle Piece Beads also come in all sorts of shapes, sizes and colors and are also guaranteed that they too will be completely unique simply by their heartcrafted nature. As well, each Puzzle Piece Bead bead is also coated with a UV protectant coating which helps keep the bead from fading. Puzzle Piece Beads can range from no decoration to elaborately decorated (and anywhere in between) which should be considered when acquiring them.

You can acquire a Puzzle Piece Bead (or Beads) and make your own necklace (Puzzle Piece Necklace Beads will fit on any string, chord or chain .5mm or smaller) or you can have a necklace made for you by me with a Puzzle Piece Bead or Beads*.

I suggest you use Puzzle Piece Beads as single centerpiece beads with a Base Beads on each side to create a balanced Those Little Beads necklace.

~ 100% Black Cotton Base Cord
with Anchor Bead And Loop Clasp~

I prefer to use 100% Black Cotton for the Base Cord of Those Little Bead necklaces because cotton is not only a sustainable product it is a durable and very comfortable one. I chose black as the color for the cotton for the Base Cord because it goes with almost everything. However, you can also choose 100% white cotton. Cord comes in a length of approximately 22" but can be shortened as desired.

The Anchor Bead and Loop Clasp are included with the Base Cord as they are put together in a very special way so that you can add and remove beads and the necklace with ease as desired. Whether you have small or large fingers, I think you will truly appreciate this Base Cord with Anchor Bead and Loop clasp combination.

~ Holographic Bling Strand ~

Holographic Bling Strands are sparkling prismatic strands added upon request to your Base Cord. They come in every color of the rainbow (light red, dark red, light orange, dark orange, light yellow, dark yellow, light green, dark green, light blue, dark blue, light purple, dark purple, light pink, dark pink, silver, black and gold). You can add one (or more) to your base cord to create a bit of sparkle to your Those Little Bead necklace.

~ How are they "heartcrafted"? ~
I began making Those Little Beads as a form of meditation to ease physical, emotional and mental suffering by choosing to focus on the postive aspects of life rather than the negative. Therefore, as I continue to create and teach others to create every single one of Those Little Beads, I am completely focused on the the positive aspects of life and the goal of sharing those positive aspects with others through the gift of Those Little Beads. As a result, I can absolutely guarantee Those Little Beads (in addition to containing earth friendly and recycled materials) will ALWAYS contain the extra ingredients of loving, healing and positive energies, making them not just a one of a kind handcrafted gift but also a uniquely heartcrafted gift.

Heartcrafting may start with me but it certainly doesn't end with me. This is because I don't just create the gift I create the gift with you. Part of the special magic of this gift is that you are just as much involved with the creation of the gift as I am. In fact, each and every part of the gift creation process allows you to make individual choices all along the way that will affect the ultimate outcome of your gift. Every individual choice you make actually adds to the creation of the gift (which is really not so much the Those Little Beads necklace as much as it is the A Piece Of My HeArt Proejct experience). As a result, you become an important and integral part of the gift creation process and therefore a huge part of the actual gift, making each gift even more special as a one of a kind heartcrafted piece of art.

In fact, the very nature of the enitre heartcrafting process of selection of the materials, creation of the necklace as well as the presentation of the gift, allows for a incredibly unique heartcrafted gift as well as a one of a kind gift experience that you will not find anywhere else in the universe.

It doesn't even end with you, though. ~ When, where, why and how did Those Little Beads begin? ~

Those Little Beads began, more than a few years back, as a simple gift, given to me by a wonderful man named David McKinley. At the time, I was attempting to prepare myself mentally and physically for an extensive stay at a burn center. David gave me the gift, in order to help me get my mind off of my troubles. However, I found, the gift did more than that. The gift he gave me, changed my life, forever. What was the gift? It was the gift of a single little bead (which eventually became Those Little Beads).

As he showed me the first of Those Little Beads, he revealed to me that these were no ordinary little paper beads. He went on to explain that I could actually use the creation of Those Little Beads to lessen my troubles and ease my physical, mental and emotional pain, by giving both my mind and body a much need break from the negative energies which were consuming me and refocusing my energy towards something positive like the creation of Those Little Beads.

He continued, to explain to me that I had a choice, we always have a choice, I could either choose to lessen my troubles and ease my pain by focusing my energy towards something positive and special like the creation of Those Little Beads or I could continue to waste my energy on something truly negative like my troubles which I could do nothing about (which would only cause me more pain to focus on). I made the choice and as I began to consciously focus upon the positive aspects and attributes of Those Little Beads (and my life) rather than all of the other negative aspects and attributes of my life. As I did, I began to notice that both my troubles and my pain began to slowly fade away. I soon realized,, with the help of David and Those Little Beads, some of the smallest conscious choices we can make can also create some of the greatest changes in our lives.

One bead lead to another, as people (some, complete strangers) began to visit at my bedside just to see me (they called me "the bead lady") and Those Little Beads (they called them "magic beads"). The first time they visited, they came to inquire about my beads. But, then, the next time they visited, they came to bring me more supplies and to ask if there was a way they could share them with friends and family. It was almost as if the one simple act of choosing to make Those Little Beads began a chain of events that both connected and affected myself and other people in a very positive way. It was from this experience I learned one of the most important lessons of my life... everything we do (no matter how big or how small) has the potential to connect us with eachother and affect and even change our lives. Even the choice to make a simple little bead had seemed to bring myself and others together to create something quite wonderful.

It was then I began to try to think of a way I could share this experience and discovery so that others could also share it.
